  Third visit to Modo Mio, service was fantastic, knowledgeable and cheerful. Food was a let down this time around. Portions were smaller then previous visits and the meals less refined. Could have been the high expectations we had before going but on this night it was okay.

  Went there on the 7th November for a friend's 40th B'day. Second time I've been to the restaurant. First time didn't think much of it and unfortunately second time exactly the same. We ordered garlic bread and for $13 would've expected a tastier serve. Can get better at Vincenzo's at Carine and half the price. Garlic Bread was nearly cold and not very tasty. My friend ordered pork belly for main, quite a small portion for what you pay for $38 and I ordered a "homemade" casarecce pasta which I thought tasted like it came out of a packet. It had not flavour and needed seasoning. My friend's main was a lot nicer than mine, again unfortunately. Have been to other "italian" restaurants that weren't as fine dining as "Modo Mio" and was very impressed with their homemade pasta. Will not return if I have the choice. There are so many better choices out there for italian food. The only dish we ordered that I thought was worth the money $18 was the dessert. That was nice elegant on the place and had a lovely flavour, but would I return for that one dish probably not.

  We went for my birthday and the food was absolutely amazing the service was exceptionally 5 star had a wonderful time certainly will be going again.

  Couldn't be happier with our visit to Modo Mio. The service was great! The food was superb! My partner had a homemade gnocchi (special of the day) and It was the best I've tasted in Australia. My Sous Vide Ocean Trout was perfectly cooked, nicely seasoned. The deserts were also very nice. Had a poached pear in Prosecco (which could have been warm), figs and ash goat cheese was a delight. My partner's pannacotta was perfectly set, well balanced. Not too sweet and with some interesting complements to this traditional desert. I'll definitely visit again next time we come to Perth!
